Why give a dietary supplement to your cat?
In addition to high-quality cat food, it can sometimes be beneficial to provide your feline friend with a dietary supplement (probiotics, fish oil) to support their immunity and overall well-being. In case of illness, a short-term or year-round supplement can help your cat feel better.
When does a cat need a dietary supplement?
Supplements are recommended for all cats, whether healthy or suffering from a medical condition.
- Probiotics for cats: These are recommended in cases of digestive issues (soft stools, flatulence, constipation), stress episodes, diet changes, antibiotic treatments, loss of appetite, or simply as a preventive course occasionally, for several months, or throughout the year. Giving probiotics is also advisable for all cats at every seasonal change, at least 4 times a year.
- Fish oil for cats: This supplement is ideal for dermatological imbalances (dull coat, rough coat, dry skin), joint problems or osteoarthritis, during kitten growth, chronic inflammatory diseases, chronic kidney disease, autoimmune disorders, cancers, hypertension, and certain heart conditions in cats. An Omega-3 EPA and DHA supplement is also beneficial for all cats during seasonal changes or molting period.

Fish Oil for Cats
Our Ziggy Care Omega Boost is a concentrated fish oil rich in Omega-3 EPA and DHA. It helps improve your cat’s coat health and appearance, strengthens the immune system, and reduces joint pain in cases of osteoarthritis.
In cases of chronic kidney disease in cats, Omega Boost offers real support. One study showed that cats with chronic kidney disease who followed a diet rich in EPA had a significantly increased life expectancy. Another study indicates that adding DHA in the early stages of kidney disease helps improve kidney parameters.
