Veterinary nutritionists and scientists all agree that wet food makes our cats healthier. Among them is our vet and expert feline nutritionist Dr. Géraldine Blanchard.

A cat fed primarily on wet food (at least 70% of their calories) has a far lower risk of becoming overweight and almost zero risk of obesity.
Why is that? Wet food is on average 4 times less calorific than dry food, allowing cats to eat in large quantities without ingesting a large amount of calories. The quality of animal proteins and the water allow cats to feel fuller quicker and for longer. Eating more without gaining weight, what a dream!

A cat that primarily eats wet food urinates more; meaning their urine is less concentrated. If the food is also well-balanced, the risk of urinary problems is further reduced!
It's unclear whether it’s a better level of hydration or the fact that they urinate more, but studies prove that cats who eat wet food are more physically active than those on dry food. Physical activity helps reduce the risk of obesity and urinary problems... it’s a virtuous circle!
