Food plays a crucial role in a cat's well-being. The wrong diet or low-quality food is at the root of poor health: obesity, diabetes, kidney disease, and urinary stones. Together with Dr. Géraldine Blanchard, a veterinary specialist in clinical nutrition, we created the kind of cat food that we've long dreamed of. One that puts cats' health first and delights their palettes.
Cat food tailored to every need
At Ziggy, we offer a wide range of grain-free or starch-free foods so you can take the best care of your cat, regardless of their age and needs. From a kitten through to old age, throughout adulthood or neutering and if they develop urinary, kidney, or diabetic conditions.
Grain-free dry food rich in protein
Our dry food for cats contains 80% animal proteins of exceptionally high quality, made from fresh French chicken and salmon fillets. Ziggy dry food is grain-free, with very few legumes for optimal digestion.
Starch-free wet food for cats made with ingredients you would find in home-cooked recipes.
Simple and ultra-healthy ingredients, no fillers or anything controversial. Our wet food contains no mechanically separated meat, carcass, cartilage, or flavour enhancers... Only real pieces of muscle and premium organ meat. And above all, Ziggy wet food contains no starch: zero grains or legumes, and therefore is very low in carbs!
- Dry food for kittens and wet food for kittens. While in full growth mode, our kittens need a tailored diet, richer in protein, lipids, and minerals.
- Dry food for adult neutered cats. After neutering, a cat's energy needs drop by an average of 20%, but not their appetite. Their food must meet their nutritional needs, so they stay healthy, but be low in calories to prevent them from becoming overweight or obese.
- Wet food for adult neutered cats. In addition to our dry food, your cat can enjoy our complete wet food, with chicken, salmon, or white fish. Starch-free, rich in quality animal proteins, and high in water for maximum hydration.
- Dry food for Maine Coon cats and large cats. A chicken recipe tailored to their wide, powerful jaws that perfectly meets their nutritional and physical needs.
- Wet food for senior cats. The nutritional needs of cats change when they reach 8 years old, and the risk of developing a healthy condition such as kidney disease increases rapidly. In response to this, we've developed a complete wet food specially tailored to their nutritional needs.
- A range of veterinary food for cats. We are committed to taking care of the health of all cats and have formulated recipes for those suffering from kidney disease (eg.CKD), diabetes, or urinary problems (urinary stones).

Wet food for good hydration
Wet food is ideal for your cat. It's 4 times less calorific than dry food, allowing your cat to eat his fill. Rich in water, it adds volume when digested in the stomach and provides excellent hydration meaning less concentrated urine and a reduced risk of urinary problems.
A cat primarily fed wet food will also have a lower risk of developing diabetes or becoming overweight or obese.

A mixed diet: the best choice for your cat
Wet food is ideal for kittens as it contains no starch. Kittens can get used to a diet of only wet food as their first solid food from a very young age. You can then introduce them to dry food and get them used to a different texture.
For adult cats, a mixed diet provides variety and pleasure. Making sure that their daily portion mainly consists of wet food will reduce the risk of them becoming overweight or obese and developing urinary problems.
For senior cats with weakened teeth and sensitive gums, the soft texture of wet food is ideal. But if your elderly cat doesn't suffer from these problems, they can continue to enjoy dry food.
How many meals per day?
Offering your cat multiple small meals a day is essential for:
- Their overall well-being: Their daily portion should be limited to their energy needs to avoid them becoming overweight or obese.
- Their urinary health: Breaking up meals ensures good urinary health.
- Their mental health: Don't forget that cats are nibblers.
Offering only 2 meals a day may frustrate them. A good compromise is to split their daily portion into 4 meals.
Some cats are more difficult than others and do not welcome any change to their diet. A planned dietary transition is often required to help them get used to their new food.
